A noncontact hit-and-run incident was reported Aug. 29 near East Katella Avenue and North Tustin Street in California. The California Highway Patrol logged the incident at approximately 4:37 p.m. and listed no injuries.
The location was described as the area near an El Pollo Loco property at Katella Avenue and Tustin Street. CHP classified the incident as a hit-and-run without injuries.
A dispatch update issued at 4:43 p.m. stated that the incident occurred on the westbound State Route 91 transition to southbound State Route 55. The incident was reported in the toll lanes.
CHP specifically characterized the event as noncontact, meaning the dispatch did not report a collision between vehicles. No additional emergency response or vehicle descriptions were provided in the available dispatch information.
