A no-injury traffic collision was reported on southbound Interstate 5 just north of Riverside Drive in Central Los Angeles on Sept. 22, 2026. The incident was logged at approximately 3:43 p.m., according to California Highway Patrol dispatch information.
The CHP classified the collision as one in which no injuries were reported. The dispatch did not identify the vehicles involved or provide information about damage or the circumstances leading to the crash.
A subsequent update at about 3:54 p.m. stated that a Freeway Service Patrol unit was in the area. The update was associated with a service log and a vehicle being towed in connection with another traffic collision.
The dispatch information did not specify any lane closures, roadway blockage, ambulance response or fire department involvement. It also did not provide additional details about the vehicle being towed or the final status of the scene.
