A traffic collision was reported at about 3:22 p.m. Oct. 2 on northbound Interstate 680 near the Rudgear Road on-ramp in Contra Costa County, California. The California Highway Patrol classified the incident as a collision without reported injuries.
The location was described as northbound I-680 just north of Rudgear Road. CHP dispatch information did not identify the number or types of vehicles involved.
The incident remained in the CHP dispatch system for approximately 30 minutes after the initial report. No injuries or emergency medical response were documented in the available information.
At about 3:52 p.m., the Freeway Service Patrol reported that its incident response had been closed. The dispatch information did not provide additional details about vehicle damage, lane restrictions or the circumstances of the collision.
