Two vehicles were involved in a collision on westbound State Route 91 just east of State College Boulevard on Aug. 28, 2026, according to California Highway Patrol dispatch information. The incident was reported at about 3:49 p.m. in the Santa Ana CHP area, and no injuries were reported.
The crash location was identified as westbound 91 near State College Boulevard. CHP’s location description placed the incident just east of the interchange, along the westbound side of the freeway.
A dispatch update one minute after the initial report stated that both vehicles were on the right shoulder. The available information did not indicate that either vehicle remained in a travel lane.
CHP classified the incident as a traffic collision without injuries. No additional details about the vehicles, roadway closures, emergency medical response or towing were provided in the dispatch information.
