A traffic collision was reported at Redwood Drive and Plateau Drive in the Santa Cruz CHP area on Aug. 23, 2026, at about 3:15 p.m. The incident was later classified as a collision with no reported injuries.
An initial CHP dispatch entry categorized the crash as a traffic collision with an ambulance responding. That classification was subsequently updated as more information became available.
At 3:34 p.m., CHP changed the incident designation to indicate that no injuries were reported. The dispatch information did not identify the vehicles involved or describe damage.
CHP provided no additional details about lane closures, traffic delays, a tow request or the circumstances of the collision. The reported location was limited to the intersection of Redwood Drive and Plateau Drive.
