A traffic collision was reported at Bates Avenue and East California Avenue late Thursday night, Sept. 3, in the Bakersfield area. The California Highway Patrol classified the incident as a collision with no reported injuries.
The crash was logged at approximately 11:20 p.m. The dispatch information identifies the intersection as the location but does not provide the number or types of vehicles involved.
A subsequent CHP update at 12:07 a.m. Friday indicated that towing assistance had been requested. The update followed the initial collision report by less than an hour.
CHP’s available dispatch information does not document lane closures, major roadway blockage, ambulance response or fire-department activity. No injuries were reported in the incident classification.
