(Chula Vista, CA) A motorcyclist was hospitalized Sunday afternoon, February 1, following a collision with a vehicle on Palomar Street. According to the Chula Vista Police Department, officers were notified around 1:05 p.m. about a crash at the intersection of Palomar Street and Walnut Avenue. Upon arrival, first responders discovered a motorcyclist with a serious leg injury from the crash. Paramedics treated the rider on-site before transferring them to a hospital for additional medical attention. Police described the injury as severe but not life-threatening. Officials withheld the rider’s name, age, and gender, providing no update on the individual’s condition. Police noted that the driver of the other involved vehicle stayed at the scene and fully cooperated with investigators. Officers said alcohol or drugs were not suspected as factors in the crash. The intersection stayed busy while officers recorded evidence and interviewed those involved.
