Moorpark, CA (March 2, 2026) – A head-on collision in Moorpark on Saturday, February 28, claimed the lives of two women and injured three others. Emergency services arrived shortly after 2 p.m. to State Route 23 near Los Angeles Avenue. Authorities reported that a Chevrolet was traveling near the center median at high speed when the driver lost control. The vehicle veered into oncoming traffic and smashed head-on into a Lexus sedan. The passenger in the Chevrolet was thrown from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. The Lexus driver was also declared dead at the scene. Two additional individuals were hospitalized with severe injuries, as the Chevrolet driver sustained moderate injuries. Authorities have yet to disclose the victims’ identities. No arrests have occurred yet. Authorities are still investigating the collision. We offer our deepest sympathies to the families of those who have passed away.
