Freeway connector and ramp crashes frequently result from abrupt alterations in speed and direction. Within a short distance, drivers may merge, exit, or change lanes, raising the risk of side-impact collisions. T-bone crashes are particularly hazardous since a vehicle’s side provides less protection than the front or rear.
