Modesto, CA (April 193, 2026) – An overturned vehicle crash on Monday afternoon injured one person at the Highway 99 off-ramp to Highway 219 (Kiernan Avenue) in Modesto. Emergency responders arrived around 1:30 p.m. On April 28, following a 2024 Toyota Camry’s exit from northbound Highway 99 onto eastbound Highway 219. The Toyota then struck a 2008 Honda Civic operated by 19-year-old Emanuel Espinoza Barajas, also from Modesto. After the collision, the vehicles stopped, with the Toyota coming to a halt against a fence. Sekandari sustained minor injuries but was not transported to the hospital. The other driver reported no injuries. Traffic in the area was disrupted for approximately 90 minutes while crews cleared the scene. Officials stated that charges of reckless driving could be filed related to the incident.
