Mission Hills, CA (September 21, 2025) – An individual was injured in a two-car accident that took place Friday afternoon on the southbound lane of Interstate 5 close to the Highway 118 interchange in the Mission Hills region, as stated by the California Highway Patrol. The incident was reported around 12:09 p.m. which elicited a reaction from nearby fire and rescue units. Two cars were discovered at the location, but specifics regarding the cause of the accident have yet to be verified. Emergency responders attended to at least one person who was injured and took them to a local hospital for additional assessment. The accident occurred in a busy region close to a significant freeway interchange, causing traffic to slow down as officials and cleanup teams managed the situation. The two vehicles that were involved were subsequently found, and there were no further injuries reported. Officers from the CHP are still looking into the details surrounding the accident. It remains uncertain whether speed, distraction, or another element contributed to the incident. We wish for a quick and complete recovery for the person who was hurt.
