A minor-injury traffic collision was reported at about 2:05 p.m. Sept. 22 on eastbound Interstate 8 near Fletcher Way in the El Cajon area. The California Highway Patrol identified the incident location as I-8 East at Fletcher Way.
The dispatch classified the crash as a traffic collision involving minor injuries. CHP did not provide additional information about the vehicles involved or the number of people injured.
The incident remained active in CHP records for more than an hour after the initial report. No lane closures, vehicle descriptions or emergency medical responses were included in the available dispatch information.
CHP closed the incident at approximately 3:36 p.m. Sept. 22. The dispatch information did not include a further account of the collision or details about the circumstances leading to it.
