Los Angeles, CA (March 14, 2026) – A 73-year-old woman died after a vehicle struck her while she was cycling in Los Angeles’ Koreatown neighborhood. The incident occurred around 6:40 a.m. on Friday, March 13, at the Olympic Blvd and Vermont Ave intersection. According to authorities, a white Dodge Ram truck heading east on Olympic Blvd turned right onto southbound Vermont Ave. Officials stated the bicyclist was riding eastbound on Olympic Blvd in the crosswalk when the truck hit her. The driver fled the scene, heading east on Olympic Blvd toward Menlo Ave. Emergency responders arrived and transported the woman to a nearby hospital for treatment. She eventually succumbed to her injuries. Authorities subsequently found the suspected vehicle close to the crash site and seized it as evidence. The victim’s identity has not been released yet as family members are notified. Authorities are still investigating the crash’s cause, with additional details to be shared once available.
