Los Angeles, CA (March 18, 2026) – A police chase concluded Tuesday night, March 17, after a driver slammed into an apartment building in South Los Angeles. Emergency responders arrived at the intersection of 45th Street and Figueroa Street just before 10:30 p.m. A pickup truck veered over a curb and crashed into the side of an apartment building, inflicting noticeable structural damage. Witnesses from nearby units observed the driver staying in the vehicle briefly. He finally climbed out the passenger-side window, got onto the vehicle, waved his arms, and then leaped down to the sidewalk. He was taken into custody without any further issues. Officials stated the suspect was involved in a chase that started in Hollywood. While being pursued, the driver allegedly dodged spike strips deployed along the path. He was originally sought in relation to alleged criminal threats. The severity of the injuries has not yet been disclosed publicly.
