Why Hit-and-Run Crashes Present Major Dangers to Pedestrians. Hit-and-run accidents pose heightened risks since victims might not get prompt help from the at-fault driver. Aid delays can impact survival rates, particularly in serious accidents. These collisions frequently happen in cities with consistent traffic flow and crowded intersections. Poor visibility at night can also raise the chances of a driver not stopping after a crash. Spotting the involved vehicle may take time, particularly without witnesses or clear video evidence. Evidence like debris, clothing, or footage from nearby cameras could assist in reconstructing the events.
