Long Beach, CA (January 9, 2026) – Emergency responders attended a two-car crash involving injuries on Wednesday morning along the eastbound 91 Freeway near Atlantic Ave in Long Beach. The incident occurred around 9:15 a.m. On January 7, it caused delays in the eastbound lanes as first responders arrived at the scene. Dispatch audio suggested that at least one individual may have been injured in the crash. Paramedics gave on-site medical assessment and treatment to those involved. The California Highway Patrol was summoned to manage traffic and probe the crash details. No official updates have been released on the extent of the injuries or the identities of those involved, though both vehicles showed visible damage. Traffic in the vicinity was briefly slowed while crews cleared debris and secured the road for other drivers. The complete cause of the crash is still being investigated.
