Long Beach, CA (September 13, 2025) – On Friday afternoon, a traffic collision resulting in injuries occurred at the crossroads of East 7th Street and Nebraska Avenue in Long Beach. The accident took place at approximately 3:35 p.m. This prompted an immediate response from the Long Beach Fire and Rescue teams. According to dispatch audio, Engine 2 and Rescue 2 were among the emergency units dispatched to the location to help, as the situation was classified as a “Charlie Response” because of the injuries reported. Emergency medical personnel attended to those injured in the accident, but the total count of injured individuals and the severity of their injuries have not been made public yet. Law enforcement officials also arrived at the scene to manage traffic and carry out a preliminary investigation. The accident occurred in a heavily populated area with both residential and commercial establishments close to downtown Long Beach, where heavy traffic and vehicles making turns are typical. Emergency responders attended to the injured and secured the scene before allowing traffic to pass through again. The Long Beach Police Department is still looking into the cause of the accident.
