La Mesa, CA (January 12, 2026) – A two-vehicle crash early Saturday morning near Grossmont Center Drive injured one driver, who was taken to a hospital for treatment. The incident got reported at about 1:00 a.m. The incident took place on January 11 and involved a small car and a truck. Dispatch audio indicates the crash happened when one vehicle allegedly merged into the path of the other, resulting in the collision. The small car’s driver, who was wearing a seatbelt, sustained a hematoma above one eye and complained of pain in the right arm and shoulder. Fortunately, the injured driver remained conscious. Emergency medical personnel assessed them at the scene and transported them to Grossmont Hospital for additional care. No additional injuries were noted at the time. Local officials are probing the reason for the accident and will decide if any tickets are needed. We extend our warmest hopes to the injured driver for a quick and complete recovery.
