In Bakersfield, CA, a man who died in a hit-and-run accident on Roberts Lane early on Wednesday, October 8, has been named as 36-year-old Joshua Scott Pierson from Bakersfield, as confirmed by the Kern County Coroner’s Office. The California Highway Patrol reported that they were called to the scene at approximately 1:05 a.m. to a report involving an incident between a pedestrian and a car close to the intersection of Roberts Lane and Plymouth Avenue. Authorities found that a black Honda Accord was heading east on Roberts Lane when it collided with Pierson. During the collision, he was walking outside a designated crosswalk. Following the incident, the driver abandoned the scene and drove away in an unidentified direction. When the authorities arrived, they declared Pierson dead at the location.
