(Indio, CA) A collision on Interstate 10 led to the fatality of John Keogh, age 43,183, on Saturday afternoon when an SUV hit him close to a freeway on-ramp in Indio. The incident occurred on September 27, around noon. The California Highway Patrol arrived at the scene of an accident close to the westbound on-ramp of Interstate 10 at Monroe Street. According to investigators, John Keogh was hit by a GMC Sierra that was traveling north on Monroe and made a left turn as he crossed the on-ramp. Officials verified that the front left portion of the SUV collided with Keogh, resulting in severe injuries. Emergency personnel responded promptly but pronounced him deceased at the scene. The driver, whose name has not been disclosed, stayed at the site and assisted the police. Authorities reported that there was no indication of alcohol or drugs playing a role in the accident. The investigation into the Interstate 10 accident is still ongoing, and the California Highway Patrol is looking for witnesses to gather additional information.
