(Visalia, CA) A car accident on Road 100 led to the tragic death of 23-year-old Jessica Velazquez. The incident occurred when a BMW collided with her jeep on November 20, around 11:30 p.m. The California Highway Patrol attended the scene. to the location of Road 100 and Avenue 264. Investigators reported that a white BMW was traveling in a southward direction. Suddenly, it swerved to the left into the lane going north. The collision occurred with Velazquez’s blue Jeep Compass, resulting in the vehicle spinning onto the dirt shoulder and immobilizing Velazquez within it. The BMW stopped in the southbound lane and subsequently ignited. The driver of the BMW successfully got out before the car caught fire. Firefighters rescued Velazquez and transported her to Adventist Health Tulare, where she eventually succumbed to her wounds. Her daughter, safely secured in a car seat, was not injured.
