A car accident occurred on 19th Avenue in Phoenix, Arizona on November 14, Friday evening. The crash, which resulted in the death of 15-year-old Jaime Pacheco Ramirez, was caused by a speeding driver who was suspected of being under the influence. The Phoenix Police Department reported that the collision happened at approximately 5:00 p.m. close to 19th Avenue and Cactus Road. Upon receiving reports of a pedestrian accident, authorities discovered Pacheco Ramirez with severe wounds. He was taken to a local hospital, where doctors later declared him dead. Investigators reported that an adult male driver was traveling west on Cactus Road at a high speed. Sometime later, he was unable to manage his vehicle, causing it to divert from the street, and subsequently collide with Pacheco Ramirez. The driver stayed at the scene at first but fled before the officers got there. After a short chase, the police promptly apprehended him. Officials reported that he exhibited signs of impairment and was charged with DUI, although the final charges will rely on the toxicology results.
