On November 28, 2025, several traffic accidents occurred on US-395 close to Hoffman Rd in Hoffman, California. These accidents resulted in multiple injuries and required significant emergency response efforts. The California Highway Patrol, local fire departments, and towing services all participated in the response. The incidents began around 6:13 p.m. On November 27, an accident occurred on a blind curve near the northbound lanes of US-395, close to Hoffman Rd. Dispatch logs confirmed that there was a head-on collision between a black Nissan Pathfinder and another vehicle that has not been identified. While examining the scene, officials observed that a car heading south had crossed over the double lines before the collision. During this time, emergency personnel were handling the situation, when a semi-truck collided with some of the damaged vehicles and subsequently moved to the side of the road. This increased the complexity of the situation and necessitated more fire and emergency personnel at the scene. By around 11:30 p.m. CHP verified that there were two distinct accidents at the site. One was categorized as a minor injury accident (1181), while the other was deemed an incident with injuries that are not life-threatening (1182). Paramedics arrived on the scene and examined several individuals for injuries, but there were no reported deaths. The debris led authorities to completely close the northbound lane, while Caltrans teams set up one-way traffic control in the area. Drivers trying to avoid the closure by using dirt roads were observed, but no illegal actions were reported. Towing services, including heavy-duty wreckers, were sent out during the evening to tow the semi-truck and other vehicles involved.
