A hit-and-run collision with no reported injuries was logged at about 6:14 p.m. Sept. 9 on northbound State Route 41 at Children’s in the Madera area. The California Highway Patrol recorded the incident as involving a suspected vehicle that left the scene.
The dispatch location placed the incident on the northbound side of the highway at Children’s. CHP did not provide additional details about the vehicles involved or describe any lane closures.
At about 6:53 p.m., CHP reported that officers were unable to locate the suspected vehicle. The update followed the initial hit-and-run report by roughly 39 minutes.
No injuries were reported in the dispatch information. CHP did not provide further details about the collision or the vehicle’s direction after leaving the scene.
