The collision location was identified as northbound I-15 at the Scripps Poway Parkway off-ramp. The dispatch information placed the incident in the freeway area near the off-ramp rather than on the adjacent surface streets.
A later CHP update at approximately 4:07 p.m. described a second vehicle as a white Ford pickup. The dispatch did not provide additional identifying details about the other vehicle involved.
