A hit-and-run involving a parked vehicle was reported at about 2:07 p.m. Aug. 16 near northbound Highway 99 and East Ashley Lane in California. The California Highway Patrol classified the incident as a hit-and-run with no reported injuries.
The location was described as the east Highway 99 frontage road just south of Ashley Lane. CHP dispatch information also placed the vehicle at Morada Mobile Home Park, where it was parked and locked.
A dispatch update entered at 2:59 p.m. continued to identify the parked vehicle as part of the incident. The available information did not identify the vehicle that allegedly left the scene.
No injuries were reported in the CHP incident classification. The dispatch entry did not provide additional details about the vehicle involved, damage, or any enforcement action.
