A hit-and-run collision involving a Hyundai Elantra was reported Aug. 24 near the intersection of East Washington Street and South Mount Vernon Avenue. The incident was reported at approximately 3:44 p.m. near a Denny’s restaurant, according to California Highway Patrol dispatch information.
CHP classified the incident as a hit-and-run collision with no reported injuries. The dispatch information did not identify the other vehicle or provide details about how the collision occurred.
A vehicle description listed in the subsequent CHP update indicated that the Hyundai Elantra was silver. The update was recorded at approximately 3:46 p.m., shortly after the initial report.
