The original report was logged at about 3:12 p.m. near Quail Rock Road, with the location described as northbound.
At about 3:32 p.m., CHP reported that the incident had been reopened. The update stated that the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office was recalling both parties after they were stopped and separated near the Ramona area.
The later dispatch update indicated that CHP was being asked to advise that the incident occurred on State Route 67 at Dye Road. The update provides a different roadway reference from the original Quail Rock Road location.
CHP classified the incident as a hit-and-run with no reported injuries. The available dispatch information did not provide additional details about the vehicles or the circumstances of the reported incident.
