The location was identified as northbound I-15 at the I-215 interchange in the Temecula CHP area. Dispatch classified the incident as a hit-and-run collision and noted that no injuries were reported.
A later dispatch update at about 4:04 p.m. said the reporting party would call back if a tow truck arrived before a CHP unit could be dispatched. The update also indicated that the information was shared with units handling a major traffic collision.
