Yuba County, CA (May 30, 2026) – A two-vehicle hit-and-run was reported late Friday night on SR-70 near Ramirez Road. Dispatch logs indicate the crash happened just before midnight on May 29. Early indications suggest that two cars collided head-on on the roadway. One car veered off the road into a ditch and hit a power pole, while a second vehicle stopped nearby. The incident log identified one of the vehicles as a gray Toyota Prius. A second car was identified as a gray Nissan Sentra. Northbound traffic was shut down as emergency crews responded in the area. According to dispatch reports, the driver abandoned the vehicle on foot and was last seen walking toward Ramirez Road. Deputies later conducted a search for the individual, including with a drone.
