Oakley, CA (May 22, 2026) – A multiple-vehicle hit-and-run crash resulting in injuries occurred Thursday afternoon on eastbound State Route 4 near Hillcrest Avenue at approximately 3:53 p.m. Three cars were involved in the incident: a silver Toyota Highlander, a white sedan, and a black Dodge Charger. Airbags deployed in several of the vehicles. The white Chevrolet Malibu sustained heavy front-end damage, while the silver Toyota Highlander showed substantial rear-end impact. Debris was scattered across the road, with all vehicles stopping on the right shoulder. The initial report confirmed that injuries had occurred, but did not specify how many people were hurt or the severity of those injuries. The names of those connected to the accident had not been disclosed when this report was published. Emergency responders arrived at the scene, and tow trucks were dispatched to clear the vehicles.
