Los Angeles, CA (May 25, 2026) – A hit-and-run collision on southbound Interstate 110 near West Century Boulevard injured multiple people on Sunday, May 24, at approximately 2:35 p.m. At least three vehicles were involved in the crash. A gold sedan was reportedly facing the wrong direction and obstructing the slow lanes of the freeway, while a black Honda and a beige sedan were also on the road, blocking lanes one and two. A third vehicle, a white Nissan Rogue, left the freeway at Figueroa and was later found at the intersection of Figueroa and 99th Street. The initial crash report did not include any names or ages. More information on the number of injured individuals and the severity of their injuries was not available when this report was published. The incident is currently under review, and further details will be shared once they are verified. Our thoughts are with those who were injured as they receive medical treatment. What Happens When a Wrong-Way Vehicle Is Involved in a Freeway Hit-and-Run. A vehicle traveling the wrong direction on a freeway produces a particularly hazardous situation. Oncoming drivers typically have mere moments to respond, as the combined speed of two vehicles heading straight for each other can be extraordinarily high. When a second vehicle also leaves the scene, it adds another layer of difficulty for emergency responders and investigators to handle. Multi-vehicle freeway hit-and-runs usually require authorities to reconstruct the order of impact between all the cars involved.
