Hawthorne, CA (April 29, 2026) – A pedestrian died in a traffic collision at the Crenshaw Boulevard and Rosecrans Avenue intersection in Hawthorne. Emergency responders arrived at the scene around 1:35 p.m. On Tuesday, April 28, a pedestrian was hit in the southbound lanes of Crenshaw Boulevard. The victim was declared dead at the scene. Authorities have withheld the deceased person’s identity until next of kin are notified. No further information has been released regarding the vehicle involved or the circumstances preceding the crash. The incident disrupted traffic in both northbound and southbound lanes due to a closure implemented while crews responded at the site.
