A 55-year-old man died on Thursday, November 20, after being hit by an SUV on State Route 94 near Hillside Drive in Jamul, CA. The California Highway Patrol reported that the accident happened around 4:30 a.m. on the eastbound lane of State Route 94 in Jamul. According to investigators, Guillermo Pagan, who was later identified as the pedestrian, crossed the roadway and was struck by an approaching SUV. Upon arrival, emergency responders discovered Pagan to be in critical condition. Despite attempts to save him, he passed away at the scene before paramedics could take him to a hospital. Authorities have not provided information about the SUV driver. The investigation is still in progress. Summary of the State Route 94 accident. The Pedestrian Roadway Law forbids pedestrians from walking on a road when there is a sidewalk next to it.
