A traffic collision involving a green Nissan Pathfinder was reported Thursday afternoon on southbound U.S. 101 near Story Road in San Jose. The California Highway Patrol classified the incident as involving unknown injuries.
The collision was reported at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Aug. 20, 2026. CHP’s location description placed it just south of Story Road, near the southbound U.S. 101 on-ramp.
The dispatch identified the Nissan Pathfinder as being on the expressway. CHP did not provide additional vehicle descriptions or details about how the collision occurred.
At about 3:48 p.m., a towing company was requested to respond. The available dispatch information did not specify whether lanes were blocked or provide an update on injuries.
