A gray SUV and a black sedan collided on northbound Interstate 805 near the Market Street off-ramp in the San Diego area at about 3:45 p.m. Oct. 22, 2026. The California Highway Patrol classified the incident as a traffic collision with no reported injuries.
A CHP update issued two minutes later said both vehicles were on the right-hand shoulder. The dispatch identified the vehicles only by their colors and body types.
The available report placed the crash near the Market Street off-ramp on northbound I-805. It did not document a lane closure or indicate that either vehicle was blocking travel lanes.
CHP dispatch information did not provide a cause for the collision or additional details about the vehicles’ occupants. No further injury, roadway obstruction or recovery information was included in the report.
