A gray Kia Sportage collided with a metal basket used for Amazon packages on Medford Street in front of an Amazon store on Oct. 3, 2026. The California Highway Patrol classified the incident as a traffic collision with no reported injuries.
The collision was first recorded at about 3:21 p.m. The dispatch description identified a person in the gray Kia as the reporting party and said the vehicle was involved in the collision with the package basket.
A CHP update issued several minutes later provided the vehicle and object descriptions but did not identify another vehicle as being involved. The available information describes the Kia striking or coming into contact with the metal basket near the store.
The dispatch information does not document an ambulance, fire response, lane closure, roadway blockage or towing request. No additional injuries or subsequent developments were listed in the available CHP updates.
