(Woodcrest, CA) A woman died Saturday morning, January 24, following a bicycle-versus-vehicle crash on Krameria Avenue. The California Highway Patrol reported the incident occurred around 9:40 a.m. at the corner of Krameria Avenue and Reiner Circle. Officers responded to the scene and discovered a bicyclist with serious injuries from a crash involving a vehicle. Paramedics administered on-site emergency treatment before ambulance transport to a local hospital. Even after treatment, she ultimately succumbed to her injuries. The Riverside County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim as 61-year-old Gina Thomas of Riverside. Investigators have not disclosed details on how the collision happened or the directions the vehicle and bicycle were traveling. Officials also didn’t specify if the crash occurred in the intersection or close by. CHP reports that the driver stayed at the scene. Authorities made no announcement of arrests or citations, and gave no indication of suspecting impairment.
