Fresno, CA (January 21, 2026) – Emergency responders attended a vehicle crash involving injuries on Monday afternoon near the East Weldon Ave and Maple Ave intersection in Fresno. The incident was initially reported around 2:33 p.m. On January 20, following an iPhone crash alert that signaled a possible collision with a blue vehicle. Dispatch audio later confirmed the alert was upgraded to a verified injury crash when an on-scene victim reported back pain. Fresno Fire and EMS units arrived quickly to assess those involved. Paramedics evaluated at least one individual for injuries, particularly back pain caused by the crash. No further information has been disclosed regarding the number of people involved or the severity of injuries. Officials secured the area, provided assistance, and are investigating the cause of the crash. No word yet on whether any citations were issued.
