E-bike accidents can lead to severe injuries since riders have minimal protection against the road. Falling can result in head injuries, lacerations, fractures, or additional damage, particularly if the rider hits the pavement. School zones often feature pedestrians, bicycles, buses, parked cars, and vehicles making turns. This combination can make it more difficult for riders to gauge speed and distance, particularly if someone else crosses their path. Head injuries are a primary worry following e-bike accidents.
