Fresno, CA (October 11, 2025) – On Friday morning, a traffic accident that caused injuries was reported at the junction of E Shields Ave and N Temperance Ave in Fresno. Emergency responders, including personnel from Fresno Police, Fire, and EMS, were sent to the location soon after 9:46 a.m. After receiving several reports about the crash, there was some initial uncertainty regarding its precise location, between Fowler & Shields and Temperance & Shields. This confusion was cleared up when teams verified that the incident took place at the intersection of Shields and Temperance. A number of people were injured and needed medical attention, with one person allegedly having a leg injury. The collision involved several cars, including a Tesla and a black Dodge. The collision resulted in traffic jams in the vicinity, prompting responding officers to close off some lanes to help the injured and oversee the removal of vehicles. Fire and EMS teams also arrived at the location to attend to those who were hurt. Authorities have confirmed that the incident did not involve any fire or criminal activity. They are still investigating to find out what caused the accident. Factors like not yielding, distraction, or excessive speed have not been eliminated as possibilities.
