The collision was reported at approximately 10:23 p.m. on September 4, 2026. CHP’s location description identified both a traffic collision and a fire, but the dispatch information did not specify the number or types of vehicles involved.
An update issued at about 10:53 p.m. indicated that a flatbed tow truck had been requested for the scene. The dispatch did not state whether the fire had been extinguished or whether the roadway was blocked.
