(Santee, CA) A motorcyclist died late Sunday night, January 25, following a collision with a car on Winter Gardens Boulevard. The California Highway Patrol reported officers arrived at the scene around 10:30 p.m. to the 9500 block of Winter Gardens Blvd. Upon arriving at the scene, first responders discovered a black Toyota sedan and a black motorcycle that had collided on the roadway. Emergency personnel confirmed that one individual involved in the crash had died at the scene. The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office showed up just after 11 p.m. Authorities did not immediately disclose the victim’s name, age, or whether the deceased was riding the motorcycle or traveling in the car. CHP offered no information on the cause of the crash or which vehicle had the right of way. Officials shut down both directions of Winter Gardens Boulevard for hours.
