(Lancaster, CA) A 19-year-old driver died Monday evening, December 15, in a three-vehicle crash on 170th Street East north of Rawhide Avenue, the California Highway Patrol reported. Officers arrived around 6:43 p.m. following reports of a crash involving multiple vehicles. According to CHP, a 2023 Ford was heading north on 170th Street East. For unknown reasons, they eventually veered into the southbound lanes and collided with a 2014 Ford. The crash ejected the driver of the 2014 Ford, who was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders. Following the initial impact, the 2014 Ford veered out of control and struck a southbound 2025 Toyota. Both surviving drivers sustained serious injuries, and paramedics transported them to Antelope Valley Medical Center. The CHP reported that both survivors had their seatbelts on and that impairment was not a factor. The identity of the deceased driver remains unknown. Overview of the 170th Street East accident.
