Elk Grove, CA (December 20, 2025) – Elk Grove Fire and Rescue emergency personnel attended a vehicle collision involving injuries on Thursday afternoon along northbound State Route 99 near the Elk Grove Blvd interchange. The crash was reported at around 12:50 p.m. , which led to the swift arrival of medical and law enforcement teams at the site. First responders promptly found and aided at least one person injured in the crash. Paramedics provided medical assistance at the scene, but the full extent of injuries has not been revealed. It’s still unclear if the injured person needed to be taken to a hospital for further care. The incident happened on a busy section of SR-99, north of the Elk Grove Blvd exit, leading to brief delays for northbound traffic. At least two vehicles were involved in the incident, which caused visible damage and led to lane closures as emergency teams responded. Officials continue to probe the circumstances preceding the crash and have yet to identify any definite causes. The area experienced prolonged traffic disruptions while debris was removed and evidence was gathered.
