El Monte, CA (September 10, 2025) – A car accident on the eastbound 10 Freeway resulted in one person being injured and needing hospitalization on Sunday evening, as reported by the California Highway Patrol. The incident took place around 7:47 p.m. located on the 10 Freeway, slightly to the west of Santa Anita Avenue. Officials have verified that a Honda Civic and another vehicle were part of the incident, but the circumstances that led to the collision are still being examined. Emergency personnel from the Los Angeles County Fire Department arrived at the location and assisted at least one person who experienced pain after the accident. The individual was taken to Greater El Monte Community Hospital for assessment and care. Information about the severity of the injuries or the names of those involved has not been disclosed yet. Traffic in the vicinity was temporarily impacted as teams evaluated the circumstances and cleared the area. We extend our best wishes for a complete and quick recovery to the injured person.
