Authorities have named the motorcyclist who died in a Cajalco Road accident on Sunday night, October 19, as 48-year-old Edgar Flores from Perris, as reported by the California Highway Patrol. The incident took place just before 9 p.m. located south of Lake Mathews, in the area between Eagle Canyon Road and La Sierra Avenue. According to CHP officials, Flores was traveling east at a speed that has not been verified. At a certain moment, his motorcycle crashed into a car, but the details around the incident are still unknown. Consequently, the force of the collision caused Flores to be thrown down a hillside. Paramedics from the Riverside County Fire Department arrived shortly after but declared him dead at the location. The sedan driver halted and worked with the officers. The officer temporarily shut down a section of Cajalco Road for a few hours to examine the scene and remove the debris. CHP Officer Javier Navarro mentioned that it is still unclear if speed, lighting, or other conditions played a role in the accident. Individuals who have any information are encouraged to reach out to the Riverside CHP Office at 951-324-7210 regarding insights on the Cajalco Road incident.
