A traffic collision with unknown injuries was reported at about 3:32 p.m. Sept. 11 on eastbound State Route 60 near Grand Avenue in California. The California Highway Patrol identified the location as eastbound 60 just west of Grand Avenue.
The initial CHP dispatch did not provide the number or types of vehicles involved. It also did not indicate whether anyone was trapped, whether lanes were blocked, or whether the crash caused a significant traffic backup.
A freeway service patrol unit was reported to be on the roadway at about 3:39 p.m. The update indicated that the patrol unit was present while CHP determined whether additional freeway service assistance was still needed.
