A traffic collision with unknown injuries was reported Aug. 20 on eastbound Interstate 580 near the High Street off-ramp in California. The incident was logged at approximately 2:06 p.m., with the roadway location described as just west of High Street.
The collision affected the eastbound freeway near the interchange. CHP dispatch information indicated that the third and fourth lanes were blocked.
A later update at about 3:08 p.m. noted that towing assistance was involved in the response. The dispatch entry also indicated that a responding unit was turning around before continuing its assignment.
CHP did not provide additional information about the vehicles involved or confirm whether anyone was injured. The available dispatch information identified the incident as having an unknown injury status.
