A traffic collision on eastbound Interstate 580 just west of High Street was reported at about 2:04 p.m. Thursday, August 20, 2026. The California Highway Patrol classified the incident as a collision with no reported injuries.
The crash occurred near the High Street off-ramp, affecting eastbound traffic on I-580. CHP dispatch later reported that three to four lanes were blocked.
A tow response was requested as crews worked to address the collision. A later dispatch update indicated that the tow resource was turning around to reach the scene.
The Oakland-area CHP dispatch identified the incident location as eastbound I-580 just west of High Street. The available log did not provide additional information about the vehicles involved or report when the blocked lanes were reopened.
